STILL LIFE is a 3-minute time-lapse video that captures an event rarely seen by the nakedeye — the disintegration of a human body. Using photo-realistic visual effects to reproducethe metamorphosis, the spectacle of death is staged from a camera obscura point-of-view. Thesubject is treated with both scientific curiosity and a painterly light. The soundtrack echos therequiem by degenerating from musical to ambient sound, for an overall poetic result.
